About

Faisal Ahmed is the lead Glaucoma Ophthalmic Consultant Surgeon at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, as well as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College, London.

Receiving his MBBS from St George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London and BSc (Hons) from Imperial College London, Mr. Ahmed was also a trainee at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital. It was here that he began his specialism in ophthalmology.

Faisal is one of the leading eye surgeons in the UK, performing innovative combined cataract and glaucoma surgeries. He is regularly invited to speak at and chair national and international specialty meetings and conferences (including the Royal Society of Medicine).

His papers are regularly published in scientific journals and he is also an author on new glaucoma surgeries on the Royal College of Ophthalmology UK’s award-winning NHS e-learning website.

Faisal has won national prizes for developing an electronic patient record system, as well as for presentations at surgical meetings.
